Preservation Napa Valleydevelops educational programs that support countywide stewardship of our cultural heritage. We are advocates for endangered buildings, collective memory, the environment, traditions, and the unique agricultural landscape of Napa.
We believe that the singular beauty, identity and economic engine of Napa County has been and always will be agriculture. Through innovative engagement, we are redefining what preservation can accomplish for Napa communities, delivering a relevant and collaborative voice as the City and County grow.
Wendy Ward is in the final semester of gradaute school at the University of Minnesota's, School of Architecture-College of Design Heritage Conservation and Preservation program.She received a certificate in Land Use and Environmental Planning from the University of California Davis, Spring of 2011 and served five years on the Cultural Heritage Commission for the City of Napa, 2005-2010, focusing on preservation policy, planning and legal aspects.
Wendy completed the University of Southern California's School of Architecture Historic Preservation summer intensive program in 2008 and the National Trust's Preservation Leadership program in 2009, that year held in Birmingham, AL. Wendy is a board member of the Vernacular Architecture Forum, was a board member of the Napa County Historical Society for three years, and is a member of the California Preservation Foundation. She is a fruit tree farmer, grows vegetables year round, is a seriously, avid cyclist and cannot say no to a documentary.

A specialist in the valuation of historic properties, including work with the City of Richmond, Virgina assisting in identifying and cataloging historic properties as well as designation of historic districts.

collaboration, creativeness and responsiveness to the many preservation

broad based board member skills, Preservation Napa Valley is positioned

preservation advocacy group around.
